Frequently Asked Questions
Do you ship honey?
We haven't yet figured out how to ship economically, but we can put any order together for pickup at our self-service stand or arrange a convenient pickup time.
Is your honey really raw?
Absolutely. Our honey is never heated above natural hive temperatures (between 95-105°F). We only strain it to remove large particles like wax pieces, leaving all the beneficial pollen, enzymes, and propolis intact.
Why does honey crystallize?
Crystallization is natural and actually a sign of pure, raw honey! It happens when glucose in the honey forms crystals. To return it to liquid form, gently warm the jar in warm (not hot) water. Never microwave honey as this destroys beneficial enzymes.
Can I visit your apiary?
We occasionally host small educational visits for those interested in beekeeping. Contact us to inquire about availability. Our self-service stand is always open during daylight hours!
Do you sell beekeeping equipment or bees?
No, we don't sell beekeeping equipment or bees. However, if you're interested in starting beekeeping, we'd love to chat! Feel free to contact us.
What's the difference between your honey varieties?
Our summer honey is predominantly clover honey, with a mild, sweet flavor and light golden color. Our spring honey features black locust honey, prized for its light color and exceptionally mild, delicate flavor with subtle floral notes. Creamed honey is the same raw honey that's been crystallized under controlled conditions to create a smooth, spreadable texture. All varieties are 100% pure and raw.
